I am here to deliver a speech on Independence day.

Every year on the 15th of August we celebrate Independence day. On this remarkable day, we got freedom from British rule. our freedom fighter’s sincere efforts and sacrifices made it possible for us to live in a free country.
Freedom is a precious thing. People who lived in the colonial era and had faced atrocities can describe it well.

India has a magnificent history. Since there was prosperity everywhere people used to call it sone ki chidiya. The affluence of India attracted several greedy rulers from other parts of the world and our country had to face many intrusions at that time.
Independence day celebration is not just to celebrate our freedom but also to remind us of the struggle and agony of our freedom fighters who decided not to accept slavery and incarceration. Rather they stood against the anarchical system and paved the way to freedom.
We live in a country of freedom fighters and martyrs who truly represented the philosophy of the nation comes first.

Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh these are some names every Indian is well aware of. These great men have sacrificed their lives for their country. Apart from that, there are many unsung heroes whose struggle made it possible.
Today we are the biggest democracy in the world. We also have carved a place in the economic forum where we are one of the world’s biggest emerging economies. According to a UN report, India has the worlds largest youth population.
The Independence day celebration brings joy to every citizen’s face. On this special day, our Prime minister hoists the Tricolour at Lal Quila and addresses the nation. All the armed forces take part in the parade. Many foreign dignitaries are also invited to be a part of this special occasion.
Concluding Statement
Independence day celebration gives us a sense of pride and honour that we live in a free country. It’s our duty as responsible citizens to take our country on the growth path. This will be the right tribute to our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
